Lehigh Valley GATC 2600 Airslide Covered Hoppers:

I have released 4 different Lehigh Valley Airslide Covered Hopper sets. What's the difference between them? I am glad you asked. Read on:

GA-23 Lehigh Valley GATC 2600 Airslide Covered Hoppers 1957+ (2 Cars) $8.00
GA-24 Lehigh Valley GATC 2600 Airslide Covered Hopper 1963+ (1 Car) $6.00

GA-26 Lehigh Valley GATC 2600 Late Airslide Covered Hopper 1966+ (1 Car) $6.00

GA-23 letters 2 cars in the 1957 Delivery scheme. These cars were originally leased from GATC, so they carry GACX initials. The cars have gray bodies and ends, and have black bays/centersills between the bolsters.

GA-24
letters 1 car in the 1963 Delivery scheme. These cars were purchased new from GATC in 1963 by the LV. The cars have white bodies and ends, and black bays/centersills between the bolsters.

GA-25 letters 1 car in the 1973 repaint scheme. The subject car is is an example of one of the 1963 white cars that has been repainted. This scheme has a gray body and ends, with a black bay/centersill between the bolsters.

GA-26 letters the single car 1966 order. This is a "late" body Airslide, the only example that the LV rostered. A photo of this car can be found in John Henderson's "Classic Freight Cars The Series, Vol 4" This car has a gray body and ends, with a black bay/centersill between the bolsters.
